Delta Sigma Pi was founded in 1907 at New York University's School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance by Harold Valentine Jacobs, Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello and Henry Albert Tienken. Today, coast to coast, more than 250 chapters and over 220,000 members support the goals and ideals of the Fraternity.
The Beta Gamma Chapter at the University of South Carolina was founded April 13, 1929 in the Gressette Room in Harper College, which resides on the historical horseshoe at the University of South Carolina, and is the oldest business fraternity on campus. Beta Gamma currently consists of approximately 85-95 brothers, and is the only professional business fraternity consisting completely of business students.

Academic Achievement
Demonstrating continuing commitment to progress, growth, and excellence, Delta Sigma Pi funds many educational programs through the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation, a 501c(3) charitable organization formed to support educational, leadership and scholastic endeavors. It extends financial assistance for scholarships, leadership development and training, and personal and professional improvement of the Fraternity and its members. Funded by individual and corporate contributions, the Leadership Foundation offers many levels of participation for students, alumni, friends and corporate sponsors.
